Nine Points:
A Prescription for Success in Business
Doing well in business is not rocket science. My attempt at a compact recipe for success (in my view) is below. I lean heavily towards the human side of things: taking care of customers and the folks who serve them. Being supportive of those on the front lines. In short, learning how to be a “servant leader.”
The nine points that are represented in the logo create a virtual box. It is representative of the symbolic neatness that is aspired to in our culture. To present some irony, though, I often find that the best -- most creative, most balanced -- solutions to my problems often from taking a perspective or solution option that is “outside of the box.”
To further demonstrate the nature of limitations presented by boxes -- or symbolic neatness -- try connecting the nine dots without removing the pen from the paper.
